Accessory Challenge Day 5!

Hi all! I hope you have been enjoying my accessory challenge this week! Today is the last day, which is a bummer, but I am so excited to post some new things on the blog! Again, all the accessories in my challenge have been provided by the wonderful Leavitt and Co!

For the last day, I wanted to show something other than necklaces. I, of course, chose scarves! Scarves are one of my  favorite trends of every season! However, I seem to have trouble finding light, cotton scarves for the spring and summer months! Leavitt and Co has fixed that! They have adorable spring scarves that are light and colorful for any outfit!

Below, I am wearing a simple tee with skinny jeans, boots, and one of the infinity scarves provided by Leavitt and Co! I wanted to show a very simple and basic outfit because I wanted to demonstrate how one of these colorful scarves can completely transform your look! I talk a lot about it, but I wanted to show it! This season blues and greens are a much needed trend to stay for these warm months to come! Add one of these cotton scarves, and you are good to go!

One trend that I hope you all try this spring is wearing a maxi dress with one of these adorable scarves! Maxi dresses tend to be plain! But adding a pop of colorful with a light scarf brings the entire look together, turning you outfit from drab to fab! I know I will be doing it! Below, is one of my style inspirations, Miranda Kerr, pulling of this trend!

So, make sure you make scarves one of your number one trends, and check out Leavitt and Co for more gorgeous items! Until next time!

Accessory Challenge Day 4: Pops of Color

Happy day 4 of my accessory challenge! Today I am talking about everything color! With spring around the corner, color is about to awaken and fully bloom! However, for a girl like me, neutrals are staple pieces in my wardrobe! So, how do I fit in with spring once it has sprung? Just add jewelry with delicious and decadent colors!

All jewelry shown in my accessory challenges has been provided by the wonderful Leavitt and Co! I decided to show two looks that fit this situation! Basic neutrals, such as white, tan, navy, black, or gray are great to have in your closet! They insure that you can wear them over and over different ways every time and in any season! However, what’s a girl to do when spring is almost in the air? Add bursts of color from her jewelry! In the first look, I am wearing my favorite navy and white striped “cold shoulder” shirt and a pair of leopard pattern jeans! To spice up the look a little, I added a green and navy floral necklace from Leavitt and Co! The necklace meshes perfectly with the strips, adding a pop to a naturally plain piece! In the second look, I am wearing a jersey black jumpsuit with some simple sparkly flats! To make it even more exciting, I added a beautiful colored and diamond floral necklace! This is also by Leavitt and Co and is a very popular statement piece for this coming spring!

The perfect thing about these necklaces is the fact that they can be worn with pretty much anything! Although each is very colorful in itself, it is versatile enough to adapt to any neutral piece of clothing!

So remember, pops of color are important to add, in order to spice up an outfit! Check out Leavitt and Co for more of their collections and keep up to date with me, here at Navy and Lace!

Accessory Challenge: Day 3

Happy Day 3 of my accessory challenge! Once again, if you have not been keeping up with my last couple of posts, I am doing an accessory challenge this week with some amazing spring goodies from Leavitt and Co!

I am a girl whose style changes like the wind! I love trying out different types of styles and genres of fashion! Recently, I have been very into the boho/hippy feel! It’s not only cute and different, but very comfortable and versatile!

I am wearing a black and cream tribal print kimono with black tassel detailing! I paired this with a plain white tank and some baggy, high-waisted black slacks with a slim fit ankle! I then wore this chunky, pink Leavitt and Co necklace to add a pop of color! I finished the look with a black wide brim hat and some short, camel colored booties.

I love this look! Although it is not everyday for me, it is something to play around with and try out! Some may think it’s too eccentric for them, but it is actually just about combining pieces and making it your own! I do recommend purchasing a long kimono! It’s an easy way to achieve a boho look! Pair it with a pair of jeans instead, some loose waves, and an easy tee, and you are good to go!

The necklace ties the entire look together, and I am absolutely in love with the color and style! For more jewelry by Leavitt and Co, check out their website posted below or Facebook page, and keep up to date with the rest of my accessory challenge!

Accessory Challenge: Day 2

It’s day two of the accessory challenge, and I am so excited! If you did not see my last post, this week I am doing a accessory challenge, featuring some gorgeous spring goodies from Leavitt and Co! I absolutely love light pastel colors! I have recently been obsessed with mint because it is bright and vibrant, yet subtle at the same time.

In this look, I am wearing my $13 pair of pants that I talked about in my previous fashion haul video! They are black jeggings with a soft floral pattern. I paired this with my mint blue blouse, in order to pull the hints of pastel out of the pants. I then layered on this gorgeous mint jeweled necklace by Leavitt and Co! Some may think that the mint on mint combo may be too much, but the color is subtle enough to combine the two! I finished off the look with a pair of simple brown flats!

I fell in love with this necklace! It is classic, but combines modern shapes and elements together to make an outfit pop! Because the color is simple, it can be paired with nearly everything! I especially love it with a pair of edgy pants like mine! It combines the best of both worlds!

Keep up to date with my accessory challenge and to see more of Leavitt and Co’s spring items! Until next time!

Accessory Challenge: Day 1!

Hi everyone! Hope your week has started off well! I am so excited because I received some gorgeous pieces from Leavitt and Co! I worked with them in a couple of my other posts, but have now received a bag full of some spring goodies! In honor of this, I am doing what I call an accessory challenge! For the next week or so, I will be doing a look that incorporates one of the Leavitt and Co’s pieces, showing how easy it is to style an outfit in literally five minutes!

To start this week off, I thought I would go bold! Bold blues and turquoises are very in this season, especially with spring around the corner! I decided to pair my wool French Connection moto-jacket with this gorgeous royal blue and turquoise chain collar! The necklace pops against the jacket and wearing a simple, cotton tank puts all eyes on the piece of jewelry! I paired the look off with a pair of dark skinny jeans and some black short booty heals!

The outfit is so simple, but very put together! It is perfect for a casual Friday at work, or a night out to dinner! I wore this ensemble Saturday night to dinner, and it was the perfect combo of casual, but dressy! If only I had the necklace then! To make it a little bit more dressy, add on a flowy white blouse underneath to keep it a little more classic and less edgy and casual!

The necklace and other pieces can be found at the Leavitt and Co website! Also, keep track of their Facebook page! There are always new events and businesses that they are featured in! Stay tuned for more of my Accessory Challenge!

A Quick Rainy Day Post!

Hi all! Hope the weather by you is much better than here! I, yet again, found some adorable pieces last night that I wanted to show on the blog. Unfortunately, the forecast is still yucky out! However, I braved that cold rain to bring you a quick post with some of the new pieces I purchased!

The shirt I am wearing is one of the new pieces that I purchased! Unfortunately, the photos do not do it justice, but we’ll have to deal with that! It is a navy blue and white striped long sleeve cotton shirt with cut out shoulders. It is flowy and very stretchy, which I love! I paired it with a simple pair of dark skinny jeggings and this adorable necklace! This, I also purchased last night! It is a long gold chain necklace with a white statement piece and tassel chain detailing! I finished off the look with my hunter boots; however, I recommend wearing a cute ballet flat or tan ankle boot, as long as the ground isn’t filled with puddles!

This look is so simple and everyday! What I love is the fact that you can pair the necklace with practically any shirt or dress and wear the shirt with any pair of pants or leggings! Cut out shoulders are very in and a way to accent a very unlikely part of your body. These items were both purchased at the Nordstrom Rack for great prices! I suggest checking them out!

So, what is your rainy day attire? Try a simple cotton shirt with a statement necklace, and you are good to go! Until next time!

**Nordstrom Rack does not have a great site because items differ depending on the store! But general link is below:

Snowy Days…Yet Again

Sorry for the delay everyone, but hope you enjoyed the beauty review I filmed! Today, I decided to venture into Boston for a little lunch and shopping. Come to find out, it started to snow, yet again! I was tired of wearing the same outerwear and decided to put on something a tad bit different today! I wanted to be extra stylish, but still warm!

After digging in my closet, I found my navy blue wool trench coat. It was super warm, and I never felt uncomfortable! I paired this with a simple black and white checkered scarf and occasionally wore my leopard gloves! I topped off the look with my wide brim “hippy” hat and a pair of chestnut riding boots!

I was hesitant to wear this hat, but also pleasantly surprised because it was perfect for the snow. It covered my head and hair the entire time and didn’t have to deal with the mess of soggy hair! Another recommendation for boots is wearing a pair of tall Hunter boots or any rain boots in general. I didn’t have a problem with walking in the snow with my riding boots, but sometimes the water can seep through and make your feet wet! But it is whatever is easiest and versatile for you!

So, here is another look for cute outerwear attire! It can be achieved with any coat and any adorable hat! Try it! You will be surprised at how easy it is to change up your winter wear.
