Fuzzy and White

I have been a sale addict lately! I cannot get enough of finding quality items for cheap prices! I was recently searching through the sale rack, when I stumbled upon an adorable “fuzzy,” white dress! It reminded me of snowflakes, so I knew it was a must have purchase!

I am wearing my tweed/fuzzy dress with short sleeves and a V-neck. I then layered over my favorite army green jacket to add a little edge and everyday wear to it. I then paired a pair of black, opaque tights with chestnut riding boots and finished the look with some charm bangles and my Tory Burch wristband.

I absolutely love this fuzzy fabric! It is so warm and definitely not itchy! Stores like Nordstrom carry some adorable sweaters in this material from Wildfox Couture. The material brings back so many memories from my childhood!

So try wearing one of these adorable and absolutely comfortable pieces! They are fuzzy and sure to be stylish for any girl!

Classy and Sassy: A J-Crew Obsession

Like many other girls, I have a J-Crew obsession. Their timeless, elegant pieces are worth being recognized and worn by every beautiful woman. I rarely wear their pieces together, but when I do, it is worth documenting! Throw together a couple of their classic pieces, and you too can feel classy without losing your sassiness.

I am wearing a red, cotton blouse with a “flannel pattern” as I like to call it. The blouse is very light and not heavy like a flannel, which is great for days when you want the flannel look, but not the flannel feel. I paired it with a simple, light gray skirt, which has an elastic waist at the hips. Pair these with some black, opaque tights and brown riding boots, and you are almost ready! I wanted to tie in one of my favorite Leavitt and Co pieces also (as seen in my previous blog Fun with Color), so I am wearing the Babs Flower Necklace in turquoise. It adds a nice pop and contrast to the blouse, pulling out the hints of blue in the stripes. I also added a romantic touch with my coral lips, making it girly with some sass.

Although J-Crew is pricey for most people, I completely understand. I can’t afford their pieces at regular price. So, my trick? Hit the sales! J-Crew, like other high end stores, have fantastic sales. I got this blouse and another short the other day for a great deal! They were giving an additional 50% off all their already marked down sale items! It was fantastic! They also give discounts to students! So, if you are a “broke” college student, have no fear! You can find a way!

So try a semi-preppy, classic look! You will be surprised at how easy it is to combine easy, timeless pieces and make a fabulous outfit!

Fun With Color

I have always been a fan of black and white. Looking in my closet, it is the majority of my pieces. However, wearing black and white straight up is plain boring! You have to have fun and use it to your advantage! Add pops of color with big, statement necklaces!

Over the past year, I have discovered an amazing jewelry and clothing company. Leavitt and Co is a close to home company that sells gorgeous and fashionable pieces. Dana Leavitt herself is so chic, and you can tell has fun with all of her jewelry!

I am wearing some of her newer pieces, which can be found at the link below! My favorites would be the the Babs Flower necklace in pink and turquoise. This is a steal at $34. I love how you can wear it with a T-shirt or a loose white blouse. Another fave is the Mint Cameran Necklace. The layers of beads are such a statement piece and would turn any bland outfit into a fun candy-coated explosion. This is also priced at $34. I am also seen wearing the Moxey Statement Necklace, which is such a spin off of a classic old hollywood piece! This is reasonably priced at $36. Each piece may come in different colors, along with matching bracelets or earrings.

Her site is so cute and definitely worth checking out! The J-Crew inspired pieces are perfect for a girl on the budget and on the go!

Jewelry is a necessity for every girl, so check out Leavitt and Co for amazing jewelry and steals! It’s worth it!

Toughen up!

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with army inspired clothing. Camo, army boots, and military jackets are just a few of the many items I am growing to love! Pair them with something girly and you too can add a little edge to your wardrobe!

To toughen up my look, I am wearing my army green military jacket, which comes with a tucked in hood and the ability to tighten the waist! This color looks good with nearly anything. Underneath, I paired my cranberry blouse and topped off the look with my black and white scarf. On the bottom, I wore a pair of dark skinny jeans and my short, spiked boots, which I’ve been loving lately! To finish the look, I pulled my hair back and wore my Tory Burch wristband!

This is definitely one of my favorite looks! I wear this jacket in nearly every season, and it never gets old! I love the way it looks with layers, and it even keeps you warm!

So toughen up your wardrobe and add some pieces that will bring a little edge to any outfit!

Polka Dots On Polka Dots…

I am definitely not one who is afraid to be bold and a little crazy, especially with my fashion. Marilyn Monroe once said, “I’d rather be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” Fashion is about wearing things that make you feel happy, comfortable, and confident. If that means layering on polka dots, then so be it!

I wanted to go for a more comfy, relaxed look. This is perfect if you’re running errands, doing homework, or just feeling lazy! My leggings are very similar to a pair I wore in my previous blog. They are knit with black polka dots. They cut off right at the ankle, which are perfect to wear with boots. I then layered my sweater with the “Pardon my French” logo, which adds a cute silly touch and combined it with a jean jacket for ease and warmth. I finished off the look with my short, spiked boots, a white enamel watch, and my hair pulled half up in a clip.

I am in love with these type of leggings! I love how you can dress them up or down, or even sleep in them! They are the perfect purchase and super cheap!

Change it up and be adventurous! Pair a crazy pair of leggings with a silly sweater and you are ready for any time of day!

Short and Sweet!

Hey all! Hope your Monday was fantastic! If not, Navy and Lace will cheer you up! Going back to school today was definitely a struggle. I wanted to be both comfy, but still have that sense of style and being put together! What’s a girl to do? Throw on some knitted leggings, and you are good to go!

In this very short and sweet post, I am wearing grey, black, and white knitted leggings. The pattern reminds me of a classic ski sweater. They cut off at right about the ankle for me, which are perfect for wearing with boots! I threw on my black 3/4 sleeve sweater with a satin back and my favorite burgundy scarf with fringe detailing. To finish off the look I wore my knee high chestnut boots and my Tory Burch wristband!

I got these leggings just over the weekend and they are fantastic! They were on sale at Target, so if you want a pair go online or go to the store fast! There weren’t many left! They are so warm and cozy; you could wear them as PJ’s! Wear them out, and you’ll look stylish but secretly cozy!

Until next time,
