Getting Back Into It + Life Update

I wasn’t sure when I would blog again. The last time I posted was May 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, trying to pass the time. Well, it’s been nine months and a new year, and I am getting back into it… kind of.

My health and mental health take precedence over everything.

Life has been full of changes the last several months. To begin, I started a new job back in July. The first time I have ever started a job ‘remote.’ Do I miss the commute? Absolutely not! Am I encountering new challenges being a fully remote employee? YES! Talk about having to learn work-life balance all over again. Every day is a new challenge in learning to balance the job and self-care. Self-care is key people! During a time where a lot has changed, I’ve learned that my health and mental health take precedence over everything.

Everyday brings a new obstacle.

I’ve worked really hard to get myself in a ‘good’ place during the pandemic, but everyday brings a new obstacle. I think back to all the things I used to do and now cannot even imagine it. I’ve truly adapted to the pandemic. It’s kept me and others safe, but has been hard on me in more ways than I could have ever imagined.

…lost the love I used to find in blogging.

Which brings me to now.. The recent winter months have brought about even more challenges with the cold and less sunshine. I stay home the majority of my time now, working remote. I still workout daily and dive into new Netflix shows, as they become available, but lost the love I used to find in blogging. I think back at how I once wanted this to be my full time job, and to a degree, I still want to work towards that.

More than anything, I think now is the time to get back into it, in hope that it sparks the love and passion I used to feel. I’ve been in search of a new hobby, but this one has been sitting right in front of me. I’m going to start out small and build my way back up. I am happy to be sharing this with you today. It’s been a tough few months, but I am happy to be back writing.

Thank you to those who have continued to read over the years.

XO
