Skincare: Take The Day Off Routine

Skincare can be hard to come by. There are so many different products on the market to choose from that it can be difficult to decide whether to go the drug store or the higher end route. One thing is for sure, removing your makeup properly and taking care of your skin is SO SO SO IMPORTANT! I cannot stress that enough.

So many girls and guys neglect to remove their makeup at the end of the day because they are too tired or it will take too long. But sleeping with your makeup on is just plain disgusting. Your skin will be screaming to let it breath because it is trapped under all that dirt, pollution and makeup from the entire day.

My makeup removal routine is super simple, and so can yours. Usually I’ll hop in the shower and do the cleansing there, that way I can shave and wash my hair simultaneously. I use a few select products (some drugstore and some high end) to break down the makeup, remove, cleanse, tone, and moisturize. Those are the steps you should also be taking to ensure your skin is able to breath and is clean at the end of the day.

Even if you do not wear makeup, the amount of dirt present on the skin and pores, is much greater than one may think. Take the time to cleanse and remove any left over makeup from the day. You only have one skin. Take care of it.

The Secret To Clearing A Pimple Overnight!

We all have pesky pimples that pop up at the worst times possible. It could be before picture day, a big meeting at work, date, even a big event. There is no amount of makeup or giant hairstyle that you could do to distract from that red bump on your face. Trust me, I have been there. Luckily, I have a trick that will save your skin!

The Murad Clarifying Mask is a lifesaver when it comes to a surprise spot on your face. The directions recommend to apply all over the face for 10-15 minute, then wash off with warm water. I find applying it all over the skin can be extremely drying. To prevent the over drying of unaffected areas, I apply the mask as a spot treatment over the blemish or blemishes and leave it on overnight while I sleep. When you wake up the next morning, the pimple is near to gone, and you won’t even be able to tell that something was there.

**Disclaimer: I am not a dermatologist or skincare expert. I am passing on this information to you, as it has helped me in the past. Make sure to talk to a skincare professional or doctor before trying any new products. We all have different types of skin and sensitivities, so it’s important to talk to an expert before to make sure that this will also be a right option for you!

What it is:
A weekly treatment for acne-prone skin featuring a natural, clay-based formula to reduce irritation and minimize breakouts.

What it is formulated to do:
Clarifying Mask absorbs pore clogging dirt and oil as it draws out impurities. Its natural, clay-based formula reduces irritation and minimizes breakouts while sulfur decreases acne’s severity as it encourages skin to clear. Zinc oxide and licorice root extract work together to soothe, comfort, and calm skin. Kolin clay regulates oil production and diminishes shine.
