Rainy Days, Stuck Inside….

With all of these gloomy days, I have spent my time stuck inside trying to find something to do. My main task:  organizing my clothes and shoes. But just because I was stuck inside does not mean that I don’t have my style game going!

On these rainy days, I usually like to bundle up and keep extra cozy. I am wearing a long sweater length dress with faux leather detailing. I paired a cranberry pair of cotton leggings, changing up the look, as well as added a black and white checkered scarf. Rain boots were a must, especially with my black Hunters. Accessories were kept limited with only a bracelet and studs.

A black sweater is a necessary staple piece, especially for this fall. This shirt is so comfy, but still has that “put together” look. The leggings add a nice untraditional flare, since all black would have just been boring. I also recommend investing in a pair of wellies! Whether they are Hunters or another brand, in this weather they are a must to keeping your feet dry!

On these rainy days, do not forget to dress fabulous, while still feeling comfortable!

Street Edge

Street style is one of the main components of fashion that I admire. The ability to see all different styles and takes on a piece of clothing is amazing and never gets old. I would hope my viewers would think that the outfits I demonstrate on my blog are street style worthy. Today, especially, I wanted to have that cool street style with an edge.

I chose to photograph, as seen in the image, in an alleyway with the layers of brick behind me! (I thought it really pushed the idea of the street style vibe I wanted!) Anyway, I am wearing a black and red checkered flannel, tucked into the top of my denim. My pants are black, almost leather denim. The pant is smooth like denim, but shines like a leather. They are so cool! I paired it with my favorite nude, studded Sam Edelman flats and a simple black tote bag.

This look is perfect for the recent fall weather! The pants are an awesome way to add that edge to your style, and the flannel makes the look comfortable and easy! Pairing a more elegant looking blouse will dress the look up, so feel free to make it your own!

Try to incorporate different looks into your street style and develop something that is your own! As long as you wear it with confidence, then the rest will take care of itself.

A Sunday Meant for the City

Happy Sunday! The weather was beautiful here! Although there was some debate on what to do on this gorgeous day, I finally decided that time in the city would be perfect for an easy afternoon walk!

I am wearing a navy blue kimono with white daisy print. I paired it with a cropped, white eyelet shirt, also with a daisy pattern. For shorts, I threw on a pair of light wash denim with rips on the front. Sandals were simple flats with a little brown strap! The waves in my hair were from yesterday, (they stayed perfectly in place) and I wore a tinted moisturizer for SPF coverage!

Simple but easy style is what I look for nowadays with the sun blazing! The kimono added a cool, hipster touch to what could have been just a bland outfit! They are a great way to take shorts and tee to a whole other level!

Stay cool on these warm summer days, but always remember to enjoy your style too!

Pinks and Floral

You can never wear too much pink and floral, right? Of course not! My two favorite things were a necessity while trying to get ready on this very gray morning! I am tired of this dreary weather and wanted to wear something that brightened my mood and matched!

I decided to pull some light pink/ peach ripped shorts out of my closet and paired it with a floral sleeveless button down! I wanted to feel “matchy” today and like the sun was shining! (Even though it was not.) The style was simple and easy for a day of errands. I threw over a jean jacket when I needed it and just added a pair of simple sandals! I didn’t do much with my hair except keep it straight, so I could easily pull it out of my face when needed!

These shorts are very on trend and can be paired with nearly any shirt in your closet! Below are the store links and similar pieces! Enjoy my loves!

A Little Fun in the Sun…

A little fun in the sun?! You think I’m crazy, right? I’ve been dying for warmer weather! We are officially at the cusp of Spring, but are still being held back by the terrors of winter. With so many new spring pieces to wear, I decided to pretend it was warm out and venture for a little time by the ocean.

On this wonderful adventure, I am wearing a navy blue and white flower kimono. It is cotton and light weight, adding a little flow and flare to any piece. I kept it simple by pairing a white tank underneath and a burgundy scarf. A little pop of color never hurt no one! I then wore just a pair of plain skinny jeans and chestnut riding boots! I can’t forget the sunglasses of course! These cute round black shades (along with the kimono) is one of the many new items I purchased yesterday! In love with their shape and style! Perfect for any outfit!

I love this outfit featuring the kimono. It’s a perfect piece to wear on a slightly colder day or to wear when the sun is blazing. This would look perfect with a dress, any other type of pant, or high waisted jean shorts for summer! It is transformable for virtually any season!

I cannot wait to show you the rest of my purchases! Hopefully the weather will be nice to us and give us spring earlier! Until next time!

*P.S. Other random pictures are included of todays adventure!
