Workout Wear with Yvette Sports

I started working out consistently around 4 years ago, and it has changed my life significantly. Not only has it made me feel healthier, it has also given me more energy and has been such a stress reliever. Through my years of working out, I’ve found that finding workout wear that fits into my routine is tricky. Workout clothes are either too expensive, not comfortable, do not fit properly or are poor quality. That’s why I am teaming up with Yvette Sports to share comfortable and practical workout wear. All products featured in this post was gifted to me by Yvette Sports.

The two pieces I am in love with are their Shift Light – Women’s Light Support Leggings and their Sculpt Women’s High Support Sports Bra. The leggings are high-waisted and made of advanced lycra fabric, which has strong elasticity with stretch-ability of up to 600% and are not see through (SO IMPORTANT!) The leggings are also breathable, making it comfortable when working out and sweating. The sports bra has Cool-max Technology, a stylish red ribbon at the back and anti-skid shoulder straps, which are perfect if you lift weights. It also contains smooth elastic bands that resist chafing.

The sports bra is perfect for girls looking for some extra support. While it is slightly padded, the bra itself isn’t stiff. I would recommend going up a size, if you tend to be larger in the band area. I don’t wear sports bras by themselves when I go to the gym. I always have some sort of t-shirt or tank over them. This bra doesn’t feel uncomfortable under layers and moves with you. The leggings is what I was most excited about because it is rare you find great workout leggings. These have the softest fabric, making it perfect for the gym and also hanging around. They do ride down slightly, so just be mindful when picking a size. This is a pair that I will need to get in black!

Now for the best part! Yvette has given me a coupon code to share with my followers! Use code kaner10 for a discount on your next purchase. Their workout apparel makes a perfect gift for a loved one this holiday season or a gift for you! They are also holding several Black Friday deals, so be sure to check out their site for additional discounts.

Workout wear doesn’t have to be uncomfortable! I finally feel like I have found pieces that fit and work with my workout routine.

Prepping My Winter Style with Jord + Giveaway!

Prepping My Winter Style with Jord + Giveaway!

Let’s face it, winter is on its way and approaching fast. I’ve been saying goodbye to my lighter fall pieces and embracing the layers. For me, my everyday winter style is simple. I gravitate towards cozy, vibrant sweaters and an easy pair of jeans or leggings. With that, I also want my accessories to be simple in style and functionality. That’s why I am choosing to pair my winter wardrobe with a Jord watch. All products featured in this post was gifted to me by Jord Watches.

Jord is more than just a watch, it’s a unique timepiece. Pronounced ‘Yode,’ the watches are a sophisticated mix of natural, and largely re-claimed materials, combined with quality movements and components. Each watch is crafted with the finest wood, ranging from sandalwood to bamboo and embodies a minimalistic and classic look. I’ve partnered with Jord to show you exactly how to style these sophisticated pieces for winter.

I’m a busy girl and do not have time to fidget with larger, more ornate pieces, so I gravitate towards accessories that are simple, but have unique craftsmanship. My Jord watch matches perfectly with my other favorite accessories and is easy to wear. Tucked under a chunky sweater or bundled up with my favorite winter coat, my Jord watch fits right in with my everyday winter wardrobe.

I am wearing the Cassia style in Zebra & Ivory. Made from gorgeous zebrawood, the full Roman numeral concave dial is beautifully reflected in the domed sapphire glass. The thin band fits comfortably around my wrist, and I am obsessed with the large face. Its clean, yet stands out. Not to mention my Cassia watch came in a gorgeous Cedar humidor watch box with a cleaning cloth and a 6 month supply of Jord Preserve: a custom-formulated wood treatment gel with applicator pen.

With the holidays right around the corner this is the perfect gift for a loved one or that special someone. With a variety of styles for men and women, there is a watch for everyone. There is even an option to customize! Most watch backplates can be engraved, as well as their Cedar humidor presentation boxes. The watches can be easily sized for the recipient, come with a one year warranty and free worldwide standard shipping.

Just in time for the holidays, I get to offer my followers an exclusive giveaway! One lucky winner will receive a $100 gift code toward the purchase of any watch in the collection! All other entrants will also be emailed a consolation 10% off gift code. All you have to do is click the link here and fill out the form!

How would you style your #JordWatch?

Transition Fall To Winter In Your Wardrobe

While it is still technically fall in New England, this past weekend felt like winter! I had to pull out my winter jacket and quickly transition my wardrobe for the cold weather. I found the perfect combination of pieces in my closet that could easily be made into a winter outfit.

Hat: Primark (Similar)      Shirt: Gap          Vest: London boutique (Similar here or here)

Jeans: Joe’s Jeans             Shoes: Adidas

Cranberry is a color that I love in the fall, but have realized looks beautiful in the winter months too. I paired this light, long-sleeve sweater under a fuzzy, black faux-fur vest. I wore a simple pair of stretch, crop denim with my Adidas. I also added this cranberry pom-pom hat for warmth and to match my shirt. In my opinion, I think this color is gorgeous and should be a staple in everyone’s closet and can be paired together for a monochromatic look too. My absolute favorite part of this look happened to be my furry vest. Vests are also a a huge portion of my closet and perfect for the transition from fall to winter. I love taking a simple shirt, like the cranberry one above, and throwing on a fuzzy vest to make the look more complete. I find that it can be perfect for a night out or a casual look for everyday. They are also easy to pair under a winter or wool coat.

Weekend Away: Jackson, NH

This past weekend, I took my first “ski” trip up to New Hampshire.

Living in New England, I’ve never skied before, nor have I liked the winter, but I wanted to give it a try and surprisingly loved it! Even though I moaned and complained because the ski boots hurt like a b*#@$, I felt so at peace with the mountains and quaint downtown.

If you ever have the chance to visit the quaint area, check out North Conway’s downtown where the shops are the cutest and you can get some local goods. I’m obsessing over the raw honey I purchased and an almond oatmeal mask I got (which has been so amazing on my skin!!).

The weekend was so relaxing and lovely! I am already planning my next trip! Any suggestions?

Exfoliate This Winter With Grace and Stella Co.

I don’t know about you, but I suffer from extreme dryness in the winter time. My whole body is one big flaky mess. But I have officially found my go to brush from Grace and Stella Co. to whisk the dryness away. All products featured in this post was gifted by Grace and Stella.

I partnered with Grace and Stella Co. for this post to show you how one product can get rid of even the toughest dry skin on your body. The 2-IN-1 BODY EXFOLIATING BRUSH & MASSAGER is made with natural boar bristles for effective dry brushing to help circulation and lessen the appearance of cellulite, but is also great wet with your favorite scrub or cleanser to exfoliate your whole body. The product is $24.95 and comes with a 16” long handle and strap, a free body cream (which is my favorite), travel bag and shower hook. The device is portable, easy to use, and great if you have sensitive skin.

I have been using this product for 2 weeks and have noticed such a difference. My main problem area is my legs. They were so dry and flaky that when I would take my leggings off, I could visibly see the dead skin… YUCK! But after using the brush wet with my daily cleanser, followed by the lotion, my skin felt instantly smooth and flake free. The brush worked perfectly in combination with shaving, allowing for a closer shave, getting rid of that dead skin, allowing you to get straight to the hair follicle. The lotion by itself is also to die for! It smells like lavender and is a non-greasy formula, which is a must for me. The company should seriously sell it in a larger tube separately!

The only complaint I have for this product is that the hook does not stick to the shower wall. I am not sure if the suction cup on mine doesn’t work properly, but I have not been able to attach it to my wall without having it fall.

Besides that, I will continue to use this product all over my body for a flake free winter and even into the summer!

Grace and Stella Co. are also holding a giveaway to win one of their foot masks!

Check out more of Grace and Stella Co. products for a smoother body!

Snowy Days and Kate Spade

I’m wishing this weather was on Christmas, but the snow is finally falling, and it’s time to pull out my favorite hat and gloves for the occasion. I am so extremely picky with hats. If they don’t fit comfortably, make my head look odd, or are itchy, I will refuse to wear them. But this year, I have finally found a hat that works for me.

Hat: Kate Spade   Gloves: Kate Spade (Similar)   Scarf: Lord and Taylor (Similar)

Sweater: Forever 21 (Similar)    Jacket: Patagonia    Leggings: Nordstrom

Boots: Hunter

To say that I am obsessed with this hat is an understatement! It’s everything: warm, soft, and oh so cute. Paired with any sweater and scarf, and of course a warm jacket, the look is complete! Also, these boots are so crucial for wet snow! Your feet stay warm, and they look perfect with a simple pair of black leggings!

Enjoy this snowy weather and stay cozy!

The Turtleneck and Moto Leggings That Will Save Your Cold Day

When the weekend hit with a 29 degree temperature and a wind that was cold enough to cut through your skin, I knew it was about time to break out my trusty turtleneck collection. But on a day spent holiday shopping and bracing the cold, I knew I also needed a trusty pair of leggings to ease my flexibility.

My turtleneck is from Primark, which for all my fellow Massachusetts folks, are located in Boston and the Burlington Mall. My leggings are a worn black pair of moto leggings from Nordstrom with ribbed detail-in the thigh and calf. Shoes are from Steve Madden and are my favorite (and the comfiest).

On a day like today, this was a perfect outfit. It was easy and a great way to layer a scarf, heavy jacket, even another sweater, while trying to welcome the cold with open arms!

At A Glance: My Face Products

Unknown-1 Unknown-2 Unknown-3 Unknown-4 Unknown-5 Unknown-6 Unknown

I’ve constantly revised my face products and foundation routine over the years and never stick to the same product for more than a month. However, at the moment, I have found a combination that works with my combination skin and provides moisture and oil control during these odd winter months.

  1. I always prep with my Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer. It has SPF and is a moisturizer that actual works for me and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy under makeup.
  2. I’ll spray some Fix Plus, to freshen and add a bit more moisture to the skin, and to fill in pores and create a smooth canvas, I use my Makeup Forever Step One Smoothing Primer.
  3. For foundation, I’ll apply a complete layer of my Makeup Forever HD Foundation with a beauty sponge. The concealer I use is the  Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, and I set it with my Makeup Forever HD Powder.
  4. To add color, I use my favorite drug store bronzer, which is the NYC Mosaic Bronzing Powder. And for blush, I go in with Tarte’s 12 hour Blush in Dollface.

For more, stay tuned for new videos and my latest on the blog and youtube channel!

XOXO
